Reliance Medical Centers 2021 Turkey Giveaway

Reliance Medical Centers, a leading primary care provider in Polk County, has announced the 3^rd Annual Gobble Gobble Giveaway, an annual appreciation and community outreach event that aims to provide area seniors with a complimentary turkey for Thanksgiving. 2021’s giveaway was supported by Simply Healthcare and was designed to be the largest one yet, giving away over 2000 frozen turkeys to Polk County residents age 64+.

“The annual Gobble Gobble Giveaway is our way of showing our appreciation to those who have entrusted Reliance Medical Centers with their primary medical, preventive, and wellbeing care. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of comprehensive care that promotes a happier, healthier, more independent lifestyle,” said Roberto Martinez, Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Reliance Medical Centers. 

Now in its third year, more than 300 Polk County seniors have already pre-registered to pick up a frozen turkey at the Reliance Medical Centers 3^rd Annual Gobble Gobble Giveaway, which is outpacing the response from years prior. With the cost of turkeys reaching an all-time high, this event is sure to make a positive impact on seniors who live in or near Lakeland and Winter Haven.

News of the turkey giveaway followed the Reliance Medical Centers model of community outreach. This month the company is honored to be the top presenting sponsor for the Polk County Walk to End Alzheimer’s and has recently pledged $1 million to the University of South Florida (USF) Foundation, Inc. to support innovative programs that focus on geriatric value-based healthcare within the USF College of Behavioral and Community Sciences and USF Health.
